Specialist surface work
A finish that supports the grain instead of hiding it.
Timber and veneer bring their own variation, colour and movement. A useful quote starts by identifying the actual substrate and the finish direction, then reviewing the supplied components themselves.

What to include
Bring the substrate and the reference together.
The numerical POC model does not change its rates for clear or stained work. Those technical choices need assessment before a real quote.
- Identify the timber or veneer where known
- Share a finish sample, image or reference if available
- Note whether parts are raw, coated or in need of repair
- Include drawings or close photographs of grain and edges
Questions
Before this finish enters the quote.
Does the estimator price stain or clear coating differently?
Not yet. Colour and finish details are collected, but the POC sample rates are geometry only until Gem Finish approves a real rate card.
Can every timber or veneer use the same coating process?
No single process suits every substrate. The material needs to be identified and reviewed before a written quote.
Can I upload a sample image?
Yes. The POC flow lets you select photos or a schedule locally. A production version would connect those files to the quote system.
Do you manufacture the timber components?
We finish supplied components. Manufacture and installation sit outside this finishing scope.
Let’s give your project the finish it deserves.
Build an illustrative estimate now, then send the details for a confirmed written quote.
