Painted kitchen cabinetry in a residential interior

Why 2 PAC

A painted finish with practical depth.

2 PAC combines colour and texture choice with a durable hardened polyurethane surface suited to cupboards, doors, furniture and MDF components.

MelbourneBraeside finishing facility

What it is

A two-part polyurethane coating, sprayed onto each component.

Once cured, 2 PAC forms a hardened painted surface with resistance to heat, moisture and staining, making it a practical finish for MDF.

It can also be considered when a project needs more colour, texture or finish flexibility than a sheet material naturally provides.

HeatResistance for practical interior use
MoisturePractical for kitchen and bathroom MDF

2 PAC and laminate

Two different ways to finish MDF.

This is a material distinction, not a blanket claim that one choice is right for every project.

Common questions

Choose the finish after the brief is clear.

Is 2 PAC suitable for MDF cabinetry?
Yes. 2 PAC is a practical MDF finish for applications including cupboards, doors and furniture.
Can it be any colour?
There is a broad range of colour options. The exact colour, texture and finish still needs to be reviewed as part of the real quote.
Does resistance mean it cannot be damaged?
No. Resistance is not a damage-proof guarantee. Care, use, substrate, preparation and the specified finish still matter.
Can the POC calculate my final price?
No. It calculates measured flat-component geometry using unapproved sample rates. Gem Finish must review and quote the actual project.
